In the words of Harvey Fierstein (the exceptional playwright, actor and screenwriter), “accept no one’s definition of your life; define yourself.” Part of why we love chastity is that it’s a way to define yourself, your relationships, the parts of yourself that you might not be able to speak out loud - and with all those points, how could we not have created a Pride version of our Hera? To define yourself as a part of a vibrant, resilient and passionate community that quite a few of the House of Denial team belong to as well, what better joy than that?
As part of our 3D printed range, and created using a specialist colour printer that ensures the colours are woven into the very fabric of the cage - just like how being LGBTQIA+ is part of who we are. Don’t you just love when a metaphor comes together? And speaking of coming together (or not, as the case may be), the Pride Hera kit comes with a sliding/barrel lock and 2 keys. We always recommend the wearer keeps one key for safety purposes but you can also buy other sets of keys if you have multiple key holders (lucky you!!) This is for the cage only but additional lock sets are available to buy separately.
If you are buying a Pride cage, please ensure that you are choosing the correct option to match your existing back ring. Our Hera comes in both a Barrel Lock and a Hexlock design and the rings are not interchangeable. The last thing you want is to open this beautiful cage and then not be able to wear it immediately because the locking mechanisms don’t match!
Also, because this is one of our signature 3D printed models, it’s unbelievably lightweight which makes it really well suited for longer-term wear - Slave D regularly tells folks how he forgets he is wearing it, which also proves how comfortable it is. Being an LGBTQIA+ inclusive business, we’re aware of rainbow washing and price gouging (or Pride Gouging as it might be more appropriate in this instance) and we’re staunchly against this practice. The Pride sets including the rings are more expensive than our standard 3D printed designs, and we want to be transparent about why that is.
In order to create these special designs - and others that you’ll see from us - we print these cages using a specialist colour printer. With our other designs, the colour is imparted using another method. The colour 3D printer costs more to run, which means that we’ve had to reflect that in our pricing of these devices.
