Our Chastity Journey
Our interest in chastity play dates back to 2012 when slave D watched a Kink.com video preview, or more specifically a Divine Bitches video starring Felony. Both of the submissives that she was playing with wore chastity cages and as she fingered one of them he leaked in his cage. He was instantly obsessed.
Two different cages featured in the video but the one that caught his eye was the clear CB6000. He did some quick research, found where to buy one (it cost around £120) and talked to Mistress K about it. She approved of buying one and the rest, as they say, is history.
So why did we want to try chastity? It’s quite simple really; control. The addition of a cage worked perfectly for our D/s power dynamic and added a new layer of control to our play sessions, which at the time were relatively infrequent. After chastity became a central part of our play, we got more active in our local kink scene, began attending events nationwide and slave D started to wear a device for longer periods of time. Tease and denial came a little later. We’re getting ahead of ourselves. Let's get back to the start.
This is a list of cages that we’ve tried over our years of chastity play and what experience we got from each from both perspectives.
The CB-6000 - Where it all began
Slave D - I vividly remember how excited I was when I heard the knock at our door and the device was delivered. Like a kid on Christmas morning I tore the packaging open, emptied the parts out of the zipper pouch that the kit came in and laid them out on our kitchen table.
To say that it was a daunting introduction would be an understatement. I didn’t know how to take my measurements before I ordered but luckily the cage and different ring sizes were a huge help as I was able to experiment until I found the size that fitted best.
The different ring spacers were initially quite confusing and keeping all of the parts together when you’re excited was, shall we say, challenging. It took years to get this under control.
The sound of the padlock clicking shut when Mistress K locked the cage for the first time was one of the most enjoyable and emotional experiences of any play we’ve ever done. That sound represents everything I love about chastity, knowing that you’ve consensually given away control over your cock and orgasms.
I quite liked the CB-6000. It was lightweight, fairly comfortable and the ring size options made this a great kit for a complete beginner. It was really common to see these devices used in femdom porn at the time and encouraged us both to watch more content and expand our kink intrigue. Pegging for example, but that’s a story for another day.
Mistress K - Slave D isn’t exaggerating about his excitement when it came to this cage - and our first steps into chastity play. I’d actually never heard of chastity play with men before Slave D came across it (most of my experience when I heard about chastity was in a Church Sense or in the excellent “Robin Hood: Men In Tights”) so this was entirely new for both of us - and something which I’m quite grateful for. It’s unbelievably fun exploring your well-established kinks with your partner (or partners), but trying a new one together can be thrilling and frustrating and exhilarating. I loved it.
I actually had little hands-on experience with this cage outside of our play sessions so I defer to Slave D on this rare occasion about the feeling and fit. And the reason for that Slave D has actually already covered - chastity was so new to us, and so exciting that I genuinely couldn’t be in the room when he was putting the cage on. A learning curve for both of us, actually - and fraught with its own unique frustrations.
There were two minor downsides for me. The first was that the padlock that comes with the CB6000 is small (as it needs to be), but that also meant a small key. As someone with nails (all the better to tease you with….), I found it could be a bit fiddly locking and unlocking this. I learnt pretty quickly, so it’s absolutely achievable, but took me a little by surprise for my first chastity locking experience.
The second one was about the padlock again and the spacer pin designs. This meant a great fit for Slave D but in terms of any intimate play - I had to be careful if I was on top of him for tease in any way lest I get a teeny scrape with a spacer pin or on one not-so-ideal evening, a scratch from the padlock when I moved the wrong way. Not enough for me to be negative about the chastity device - how could I be when it started us on this journey? - but just a word of warning!
Clear Holy Trainer V2 Standard
Slave D - Some of my fondest memories in chastity came from wearing this device. It was the first cage that I wore to a local kink event, which led to me wearing a kit more regularly in daily life. The HT V2, along with the CB6000, is a closed design cage, which makes it more challenging to keep yourself clean. This is especially true if you have a foreskin like I do. Walking around with a pocket full of cotton buds (Q-Tips to our American friends) became the norm as they really helped to keep my urethral opening aligned with the pee hole.
The V2 rings were much more comfortable than the CB6000 with the smooth curved edges. I found that I didn’t need to use lube on the inside of the rings to minimise friction and the cage, being made from softer bio-sourced resin, felt like a nice upgrade.
I did miss the sound of the padlock, but the internal sliding lock made the kit much more discreet to wear, particularly with tighter clothing like jeans. Seeing the larger key hanging around Mistress K’s neck gave me tingles every single time I noticed it.
Mistress K - How can I begin to capture everything about this cage? This was our favourite and de facto cage for many many years - and for good reason. It was comfortable, it looks great, I loved the sound of tapping my nails or my cane on the resin and wearing the key had just a profound effect on me.
There’s something about feeling the key against my chest, touching it throughout the day (sometimes in front of Slave D just to torment him) that made chastity and his commitment to it very “real” for us.
One thing that did take us a long time was being able to sleep in a cage. We only managed it a number of times with Slave D in the V2, so if you’re someone who has found that you might wake up in the middle of the night and needs to be released, you are not alone. Some folks manage sleeping in a cage straight off the bat, but it took us a bit of time and energy.
As a chastity cage, there are the downsides in cleanliness as Slave D mentions, but the Holy Trainer range has been a firm favourite with us and with a massive number of you for the same reasons. It’s accessibly priced, the design is solid and I’ve always preferred the clear design over the black or pink because I love seeing the darkening flush of skin during our sessions. Remains a firm favourite even to this day.
S77 Stainless Steel Cage
Slave D - This was the first cage that I tried from our own collection just as we launched the House of Denial website. Everything that we’d read about metal cages was true; it was much easier to keep myself clean and the open bar design made it a lot easier to realign myself when it was required. I thought the extra weight would make it less comfortable, but you know what, the feeling of the heavier cage acted as a good reminder that I was locked FOR her.
Here’s what I really didn’t like. For context I HATE the cold. Mistress K has used cold showers as a punishment on a number of occasions and I very quickly become receptive to her every command. So what did she do one time I stepped out of line? She put the device in the fridge overnight then woke me up by putting it on me. Not fun.
The S77 was really easy to clean (I did this in the shower daily and Mistress K supervised a release every other day for a more thorough cleaning) and the extra weight wasn’t prohibitive.
Mistress K - You will find through this piece that Slave D likes to grumble about what hardships I put him through in our caged life. Take it all with a pinch of salt - methinks he doth protest too much etc.
I loved this cage for the most of the reasons above but also, as a keyholder, I enjoyed being able to get closer to skin. The full tube cages are wonderful, but I’m tactile as a domme and want to be able to touch - the S77 allowed me the ability to do that whilst also keeping him firmly restrained.
My main issue with metal devices is I’ve noticed there’s a bit more resistance when inserting the barrel locks. Which makes perfect sense as plastic is less rigid than metal. But I’ve hit a few not-so-sexy snags of trying to push the lock in, having a moment of paranoia that I’m forcing it too much and handing it over to Slave D to insert with me turning the key in the lock. Again, like many of my minor issues, it’s more a personal thing than any problems with the design but I like sharing these kinds of things in case others feel like they’re “not doing it right” or feel like everything goes perfectly smoothly all the time.
S99 Standard
Slave D - One of the trickier aspects of chastity play, particularly during our private play sessions, is taking the cage then back ring off without…resistance. The moment she unlocks me and removes the cage (typically with my wrists restrained behind my back or above my head) I get a little excited, which makes it very challenging to remove the back ring. This generally leads to the ring staying on and the cage being locked back in place as soon as she’s had her fun.
We wanted to explore an option that would allow her to quickly and easily remove the full kit if she chose to do so. If this does happen it’s usually a good indicator that some CBT is coming soon after. This plays with my mind in all the ways she knows it will. That’s where the S99 came into play.
What’s so special about this device? It comes with a hinged back ring. Removing the ring is so much easier as she just needs to pull on either side and it opens up. This also makes it very easy to put back on without any assistance by me, so I’m able to remain restrained and not break the mood or flow of a scene.
The downside? The hinge has pinched a few times, but a small strip from one of Mistress K’s stockings wrapped around the hinge solves that.
Mistress K - Well, this sure is a way to discover that Slave D destroyed some of my stockings without my consent. Retribution will be swift.
For many years in our relationship, chastity was part of our play, but we weren’t focused as much on the longer-term locking side of it. That’s quite different now! But it also meant that chastity play had a particular enticement - a thrill that’s never gone away in all our years doing this. Which is wonderful and cute and all the adjectives - but as Slave D says, the issue meant the ‘physical excitement’ when the cage was being removed (for pleasure or for torment) and the ‘growing’ began, it really is a race against the clock (or the cock!) to get the back ring off with little issue.
In lieu of destroying beautiful stockings to cover the hinge, I can also strongly recommend just an ordinary fabric plaster or some moleskin tape which is designed to stop friction or rubbing. Slave D, take note…
I’ve got little to add to the other comments honestly - the cage is well-constructed and has a satisfying heft in your hand when you’re caressing and squeezing and nipping. From an aesthetic perspective, I prefer the flatter rings of the S77 to the S99 but it’s worth the trade-off for a ring where I don’t risk harming Slave D at the height of a session.
White and Black Hera Hexlock - Small
Slave D - I wore Hera on/off for a few years before we launched the final product on our website. I must have tried at least ten different iterations of Hera throughout the prototyping process, making small tweaks until we were completely satisfied that it performed exactly how we wanted it to. We’re immensely proud of our House of Denial exclusive cage and feel that all of our hard work has paid off.
We wanted to make a device that suited our needs (and those of our customers) exactly. It needed to be very lightweight and comfortable for long term wear, easy to clean and look aesthetically pleasing. We hope you agree that we ticked all of the boxes.
The hexlock version of Hera makes it significantly easier to get into the headspace where I feel like I’m in more permanent chastity. Once Mistress K tightens the hex screws and hangs the pendant key around her neck I accept my role completely. I’m her locked chastity slave, and I adore everything that this brings to our relationship.
We finished developing the black version of the Hera hexlock kit first and the white version followed soon after. I love both, but what came next excited us both a lot.
Mistress K - The Hera, my love. As Slave D mentions - there were so many iterations of this and thousands of conversations to ensure it was practical and comfortable and also something people would want to own.
The Hera has also been the first cage that we’ve had longer-term success with Slave D sleeping in. That could be all our years of chastity finally paying off, but I think the effort that we’ve put into the design has also helped for all those situations where nocturnal erections got the better of our chastity wearing.
The hexlock Hera truly has my heart. Whilst the silver gleam of a key around my neck is stunning, the subtle secret of the pendant key thrilled me. I could wear it in public without attracting any attention in the way that the key sometimes would. Also there’s a deeply touching intimacy to me kneeling before Slave D in a way people might find submissive, but is entirely rooted in my dominance as I tighten the screws to his cage to lock him. Every time I do it, I’m filled with joy.
One of the other things we were really mindful of when designing Hera was about comfort. All the cages we’ve worn have been pretty comfortable but always needed some minor degree of adjustment or shifting during the day. Barring the usual movement after being in the bathroom, Slave D mentioned so many times during development that he would forget he was wearing it. That level of everyday normality to being caged was really important to us and from the amazing feedback we’ve had from people, you’ve also felt that too!
Pride Hera Barrel Lock - Small
Slave D - Honestly, I’m still blown away with what’s achievable using 3D printing, even after years of daily experimentation and refinement. We tested printing Hera in block colours but weren’t impressed with the surface smoothness, but we decided to trial some different patterns and knew when we saw the first results that the progress flag was always going to be our first choice.
The colour is gorgeous, the cage is insanely comfortable and Mistress K adores seeing her cock locked in it. What can I say, I like to please her, and with our Pride Hera device I get to see a broad smile break out on her face when she sees me wearing it every time. It’s an infectious smile that fills me with joy and scratches a strong servitude based itch.
The barrel lock version of this Pride cage makes it easier to remove quickly during play sessions, so it’s the preferred choice when we know some play time is coming up. I’ve also worn it to kink events and the feedback when people see it is always hugely positive. Who doesn’t love a compliment? Particularly when you’re bent over, bare arse on display and a flogger lashing into your exposed skin. Or as I like to call it, my happy place.
Mistress K - Slave D might have a servitude itch that needs to be scratched, but you might also be detecting a subtle exhibitionist edge to him too, shocking I know.
The Pride edition version of Hera is very special to me. It’s got all the lovely features of the standard Hera designs so it’s suitable for long-term wear, it’s lightweight, the variety of sizes means we can ensure the best fit for Slave D etc. But also, as a queer woman, having something that exists in celebration of my community feels special and almost precious to me. We’ve been running this business for 6ish years (I lose track all the time) so we know how many of our customers aren’t straight. Trans women and gay men and non-binary folks and bi guys, we wanted to create something that said we saw you, we celebrate you, and that you had a way to be your locked, authentic self - even if you might not be out to others yet.
That’s very emotional for me, but it’s true. This is one of my personal favourites and that’s why I smile every time I see Slave D in it. Not just because he looks hot in it, but it’s something wonderful and bigger than ourselves.
S231 with adjustable spikes
Slave D - I have absolutely nothing good to say about this device, though I suspect Mistress K will say the opposite. In the wrong hands (or the right ones depending on your role) it can be vicious, which I can honestly say I have endured with prolonged agony. Did I complain? I can’t lie, it was quite challenging to express my true feelings with a ball gag fixed firmly in place over a latex hood.
Mistress K decided that I should try the S231 spiked cage before it went on sale. This willing human test subject nodded eagerly at the thought. What a fool. She completely removed the screws from the cage and made me put it on without them. Easy I thought. My cock hanging through the open design and hanging down waiting to be teased and likely denied, but it’s a game that I willingly consent to.
My hood was pushed firmly over my head, my eyes covered with a blindfold, a gag pushed into my mouth. She fixed my wrists above my head using some new leather cuffs that we’d just bought on a recent trip to London, put a metal bar between my legs and locked the ankle cuffs in place. Fun kinky times, right?
That’s when she very slowly placed a screw in each hole surrounding the cage. One by one she turned the key to tighten them. No problem at first. Then she turned the key in each screw again. And again. I heard her whisper next to my hood and tease the head of my excited cock. That’s when the metal screws started to bite. Hard. We learnt quickly and Mistress K adjusted according to my physical feedback. She knows how to read me and thank fuck that she does.
If you’re a sadist or want a punishment cage for a naughty submissive I can’t recommend this highly enough. It’s not a device that I’d wear daily, but if I see it again sitting out waiting for me before another play session I’ll know in that moment that I’ve royally fucked something up at some point prior.

Mistress K - Remember that thing I said about Slave D protesting too much? Here we go folks!! Firstly, Slave D’s recollection is not entirely honest here - as I recall, he mentioned wanting to try some more “intense” devices and mentioned the S231 when we got it in. So he truly was the architect of his own downfall here.
The rest of his recollections ring true - we did have a truly wonderful session in it. The joy and the fun of the S231 is that open design. Slave D’s excitement during our play, even the thrill of the pain, meant that I watched as his cock eagerly responded to everything that was happening.
Having such an adjustable design with the screws is frankly genius - you can introduce just the whisper of torment, or really put your submissive to the test. It definitely is a cage where you need solid communication in order to adjust the bite of the screws - the gag was removed on more than one occasion because the last thing either of you wants is to not enjoy the experience.
Slave D also enjoys pushing himself, so contrary to his recollections, he asked for the screws to be made a bit tighter so he could experience it - and whilst he did moan and complain during the session, that was more a verbal release than actual unmanageable pain. Suffice to say, he did beautifully and I was extremely pleased with how he managed this, and he was rewarded appropriately.
A+++ would definitely use again!
We’ve tested significantly more chastity devices than the list above (well over 100 at the time of writing this), both personally and professionally, but many of those were for very short periods of time. You quickly know if a cage isn’t going to work for you. It could be the size, the design or the surface finish.
Many of the cages that we’ve tried were sent to us as samples from device manufacturers and designers who then want us to sell them on this website. We reject the majority of them as they don’t pass our quality control standards. A few have been downright dangerous.
